Median transaction cost (USD)

api
Source
growthepie fundamentals, txcosts_median_usd
Endpoint or contract
https://api.growthepie.xyz/v1/fundamentals.json
Derivation
Last COMPLETE day's median transaction cost for that rollup. The current partial day is excluded.

Evidence

2026-08-28, against the rollup's own gas price x 21,000: Scroll $0.00251 vs $0.00001, Base $0.00149 vs $0.00032, Arbitrum $0.00417 vs $0.00106.

Caveats

  • The earlier gasPrice x 21,000 method captured only the rollup's execution gas and omitted the L1 data fee that dominates a rollup transaction — it understated Scroll by more than two orders of magnitude, and for zkSync and Starknet the EVM transfer constant does not describe the gas model at all.
  • Null where growthepie publishes no median for a chain, as with zkSync Era.

Pays L1 (USD/day)

api
Source
growthepie fundamentals, costs_total_usd
Endpoint or contract
https://api.growthepie.xyz/v1/fundamentals.json
Derivation
Last complete day of total L1 settlement cost, which is calldata/proof costs PLUS EIP-4844 blob costs.

Evidence

2026-08-28 for Arbitrum: costs_l1_usd 40.29 + costs_blobs_usd 7.66 = costs_total_usd 47.95. Using the non-blob component alone understates settlement spend by 8-16% depending on the chain.

Caveats

  • The daily series is genuinely volatile — Arbitrum swung between $20 and $252 within six days — so a single day is a poor headline and the completed day is used deliberately.

Daily transactions (count)

api
Source
growthepie fundamentals, txcount
Endpoint or contract
Derivation
Last complete day.

Evidence

Not independently verified

Caveats

    Daily active addresses (count)

    api
    Source
    growthepie fundamentals, daa
    Endpoint or contract
    Derivation
    Last complete day.

    Evidence

    Not independently verified

    Caveats

    • Address counts are not user counts.

    Rollup gas price (gwei)

    on-chain
    Source
    each rollup's own RPC, eth_gasPrice
    Endpoint or contract
    Derivation
    Read live from the chain.

    Evidence

    Not independently verified

    Caveats

    • Shown as the rollup's execution gas price only. It is NOT the user's transaction cost — see the median above.
